❇ Ethically Made ❇
What ethical making means to us
Ethical making begins with respect for people, time, and skill. In an industry often driven by speed and volume, we choose a slower approach that allows care and consideration at every stage.
Made by hand, start to finish
Every piece is handmade and hand dyed by the founder of Child of Society, Celina. Working at this scale allows for full visibility and accountability across the entire process from sourcing materials to final finishing.
Care as an ethical practice
Ethical making also means caring for materials, tools, and the environment. By working with natural fibres and dyes, and by keeping processes small and manageable, we aim to create pieces that are safer to make, wear, and dispose of.
An ongoing responsibility
Ethical making is not a claim of perfection. It is a commitment to responsibility, transparency, and continual learning. As we grow, we remain attentive to how our practices can evolve, improve, and better align with the values we hold.
