Inspiration

These hats were created as a limited run due to the use of upcycled textiles. The hats act as a signature with ‘Child of Society’ branding. The embroidered tulips along the brim were inspired by a Japanese Children’s song that I grew up singing along with my Mama. In the song, tulips are described as being lined up in a row, where no matter which flower you look at, they are seen as beautiful. Listen to the full song here.

Care

Upcycled garments have been created with homeware textiles (curtains, blankets, table cloths, etc.) collected from my local Op Shop. By utilising these textiles, it saves them from landfill and avoids the creation of new textiles which creates waste and emissions. This also makes them one-of-a-kind or from a limited run. Due to the age and delicate nature of these textiles, they require gentle care. Please donate or pass-on post-use.

General Laundering:
– Gentle cold machine wash with like colours.
– Dry in shade and cool iron.
– Do not bleach or soak

Do not tumble dry

Cool  iron
